Sorell Hotels was formed in 2002, and comprises the different hotels of the group of companies "ZFV-Unternehmungen".
Sorell Hotels takes its name from the founder of the Zurich Women's Association (Zürcher Frauenverein, or ZFV), Dr. h.c. Susanna Orelli (1845-1939), who laid the foundations for this successful enterprise back in 1900, when she established the Kurhaus Zürichberg assembly rooms.
The Sorell Hotels are a marketing organisation for individually managed three-star hotels, with the goal of exploiting synergies and maintaining the tradition of Swiss hospitality.
